We Teach Primary School Children

Kids at our Dala Monastery School classes

For children of the poor communities of Yangon, learning conversational English is vitally important - these language skills can enable them to secure future employment in the busy capital city, especially as the number of foreign tourists is rapidly increasing.

Myanmar Teachers is currently working in the Burmese capital to teach English to poor children of primary school age whose parents cannot afford the fees for their children to attend the local government schools

We Train Monks To Be Teachers

Monks attend our English lessons in Yangon

Teaching English to monks and training them to be teachers is an important part of our work. These monks will be able to teach English to young children in their care, and can also train other monks to be teachers.

Myanmar Teachers currently teaches English conversation and basic English grammar to monks who attend our classes at 6.30am each week.
